EXERCISE IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE..
We all know regular exercise has a myriad of benefits from weight loss, reduced health risks, to living longer.

More Energy
Exercise can improve energy levels by strengthening the circulation and the heart muscle, and in return will improve energy levels. Because of this increased consumption of oxygen, our lung capacity also increases with exercise. Over time, with continued exercise, aerobic capacity increases, allowing you to deliver more and more oxygen to your brain and blood stream, helping you feel more awake, alert, and ready to go.

Less Stressed / Anxious
(You'll Be Happier)
Exercise has been shown to improve your mood and decrease feelings of depression, anxiety and stress. It produces changes in the parts of the brain that regulate stress and anxiety. Exercise can increase the production of endorphins, which are known to help produce positive feelings and reduce the perception of pain. Furthermore, exercise has been shown to reduce symptoms in people suffering from anxiety. It can also help them be more aware of their mental state and practice distraction from their fears.

More Concentration
Exercise is the most effective way to improve memory and attention. Aerobic exercise leads directly to improved focus and concentration. Following a half hour of strenuous exercise, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex works harder to resist distracters and performance on tests of attention improves. Studies also show that immediately following exercise, problem solving, memory, and attention improve.
There is always time to exercise!

Have 5 Minutes or Less?
There are plenty of exercises you can do for under a minute at a time and still break a sweat. When combined, they can make a circuit equally as effective as time in the gym.
-
Pushups
-
Squats
-
Forearm plank
-
Situps / crunches

Try these high-intensity exercises at 30s-1m intervals for a quick and efficient routine.

Remember, 10 minutes today is better than not exercising at all. Set a daily goal that is obtainable for 2 weeks and go for it.

Keep Active Throughout the Day
Keep active by walking as much as possible (instead of driving), taking the stairs whenever possible, going on walks to de-stress, park further away from your destination, or walk around the room while talking on the phone.

Make The Sacrifice
We all catch ourselves scrolling mindlessly through our phones or computer. By putting down the phone, you can create time to put towards exercise. Americans spend around 3-4 hours per day on their phone. By keeping this in mind, try and stop yourself next time you're blowing away the time on your phone and put it towards something for yourself.
